I posted extensively on the politic.ie Forum during the farcical EU referendum.
Barrosso is largely right that Ireland's problems are of their own making, as they permitted their corrupt and duplicitous politicians to lie, cheat and betray them - bought and paid for by The EU.
The present utterly insoluable mess Ireland is in financially is, as with Britain, not the fault of The EU but the betrayal by the enemy within, their own politicians and snivil cervants who have betrayed the people in return for their own agrandisement and massive bribes that are the main foundation of the undeniably corrupt and malevollent EUropean centralised Dictatorship with its unelected dictator committee with all the political morality of the Polit Buro of the USSR and it pretend parliament with no more democratic relevance than had the Duma of the USSR.
One need only watch the fleets of black Mercedese provided by the tax payers for the colleagues to swan around pointlessly in to be reminded of the cavalcades of Zils as they raced through Moscow with their attendant outriders!
The EU has even implemented special private express trains to carry the colleagues from one fatuous destination to another to make them think they have some sort of relevance in the decisionmaking process - Think again.
There is a solution but it has no relativity to further distruction by The EU.
Handouts of other peoples' money makes Ireland no less than a subsidy junkie and with all the same dignity.

British Politicians with pens and treachery, in pursuit of their own agenda and greed, have done more damage to the liberty, freedoms, rights and democracy of the British peoples than any army in over 1,000 years.
The disastrous effects of British politicians selling Britain into the thrall of foreign rule by the EU for their own personal rewards has damaged the well-being of Britain more than the armies of Hitler and the Franco - German - Italian axis of 1939 - 1945.
